It was the biggest port of Southeast Asia, and was very famous in the name of Fai Fo Hoi which was the center of culture exchange between east and west. However, afterthat Hoi An had been destroyed from the wars and the tide was getting lower. So they moved the port to Danang instead, Hoi An then got quieter.
